My Story
Two extraordinary women. One kitchen. A legacy of love.
Hi, I'm TJ! Granny's Kitchen is a celebration of the two women who taught me what love, resilience, and family really mean.
I was fortunate enough to be raised by two incredibly strong, loving, and dedicated women: my grandmother, Thelma Rhodes Williams, and my mother, Tommie Brown.

My grandmother—Granny—laid the foundation for my love of baking. When I was six years old, she would have me help her bake cakes in the kitchen. What started as something simple became one of the most meaningful parts of my life.
Whenever I bake, it takes me back to the laughter, the conversations, and the unconditional love I was shown. Every dessert I create may be made with my hands, but it comes from Granny's love.
My mother, Tommie, was hardworking, resilient, and full of kindness. When she passed away, baking became a way to cope with grief and reconnect with happier memories. Somewhere along the way, I realized it could become something bigger.
Everyone carries something. And sometimes a homemade dessert can give someone a reason to smile. That's what Granny's Kitchen is about: making the kind of memories that happen when people gather around the table.
The food was wonderful. The time spent together was what made those moments special.

The Dream Behind Granny's Kitchen
My ultimate goal is to open a Southern-style, full-service restaurant—a place where people can gather, enjoy comforting homemade food, share stories, laugh, and create memories of their own.
I want to bring the warmth of my grandmother's kitchen and the love my mother showed me to as many people as possible. A place where food is made with care, the atmosphere feels like home, and everyone who walks through the door is treated like family.
Until that restaurant becomes a reality, I'll keep sharing that feeling one homemade dessert at a time.
My Mission
To create delicious, thoughtfully prepared food that brings people together, celebrates family traditions, and reminds us that some of life's greatest memories are made around the table.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
With love, TJ
